It’s a natural playground for visitors who want to swim, fish, hike, kayak or bike at their own pace. Molokai also boasts one beautiful golf course: a nine-hole course, called The Greens at Kauluwai, also known as Ironwoods Golf Course.
Molokai was once known for its colony of people suffering from Hansen’s disease (formerly called leprosy). The area is now maintained as Kalaupapa National Historic Park. Access to the park is by reservation only: Plan to enjoy a guided mule trip or hiking tour, both great ways to admire Kalaupapa’s spectacular scenery and learn about the history of the colony.
Accommodations on Molokai range from a charming ranch to secluded lodges and rustic “tentalows.” Book flights and package excursions to Molokai from Honolulu, or air and boat connections from Maui by EMAIL Hawaii@friendsTravel.com
The little island of Molokai is home to the world’s highest sea cliffs: They rise 3,000 feet from the crashing surf below.
JESS Kalinowsky will take care of your every want, need, desire and expectation.
